Psychographics ..

Psychographics ..

Mainstreamers ..

This is a smoke alarm advert which shows us how you can check the alarm without reaching the button. This suits the mainstreamers as they seek security and conformist. They like to avoid risks which shows that this advert is made for people who like to keep safe and out of trouble. Also, as they like to blend in and avoid confrontation it shows they are protective and a fire alarm is perfect so that they keep safe.

Aspirers ..

I think this advert belongs in the Aspirers group as it says they prefer attractive packaging to the actual product, this advert in different ways demonstrates this with firstly the actual advert, it looks fashionable and attractive. Then the bottle, it looks cute which would attract many people to buy the product and again as it says this group seeks status and care about their appearance so they would have to buy something that looks pleasing.

Succeeders ..

This advert suits the group succeeders as it's a brand choice based on self-reward and quality which is what this group look for. They seek control, a ipad is something that is self rewarding and it's an professional product. Also, this group from the name you can tell they want to succeed in life and buying new, expensive products helps them show they are succeeding. A lot of people who have ipads look rich, they look wealthy which shows the "success" in their life.

Resigned ..

I think this advert suits the group Resigned as it's the old tradition phone brands and that's what that group like. They like to be safe and stick to the traditional brands this group has more of the older age group because in their time they used these products so they know exactly how they work and the faults they don't like trying something new because it might not work which isn't safe.

Explorers ..

This advert suits explorers as it's something new that they're trying with the names on the coffee cups and explorers seek discovery they want to be individuals and this advert is all about individualism. They want to be different to others and try new things, things no ones tried before. They like to take adventures and try different challenges. Starbucks are trying new different ways to sell their coffees and explores feel that's what they want as-well.

Strugglers ..

This is a dream bingo TV advert which shows woman wining money online and being overly happy. This suits the strugglers group as they don't have jobs and aren't very successful. Their brand choice involves impact and sensation which means they like to feel good as their strugglers they don't have much in their life. Also, if you watch the advertisement when they win £15 they get excited as if it's something amazing. This all shows that as their strugglers anything they get will make them happy whereas if it was someone in the succeeders group they wouldn't be amazed.

Reformers ..

This advert is of women having a great time while drinking in the garden enjoying themselves. This I think suits reformers as they seek enlightenment. They want freedom and personal growth. They're anti materialistic but are aware of good taste which suits this advert because even though its branded its a nice wine brand, good taste. Also, as I said they want freedom and they already have attended higher education and selects products for quality and this wine brand is of quality and they can afford it because they've completed all their education.

  1. I think you've chosen some really good videos and your analysis is really good.I agree with some of your points; however I think some other points aren't agreeable. I feel, your reformers group isn't correct as if she wants freedom she should be alone not with her friends.

LR: Find another one for reformers and analyse it.

    Answer..
First I feel as if you haven't understood where I'm coming from as freedom can mean being alone and with a group of friends. Freedom is freedom, there's a different definition to everyone. To some freedom could mean being with friends without parents looking over them while they're enjoying themselves. Reformers seek freedom but aren't materialistic. Because they've had their higher education it means obviously they would have made friends and once exam stress is over they can finally have a break and enjoy time with their friends.
