10. A film distributor is a company or individual responsible for the
marketing of a film.
11. Fish Tank was promoted through the Cannes film festival and the UK film
Council.
12. The differences between Fish Tank and a big Hollywood blockbuster film
in one the quality of the Camera movements and Camera shots. As Hollywood film’s
have more money to budget their films they can spend a lot of money on special effects
such as car’s crashing and explosions whereas film’s like Fish tank can’t
afford that hence during the film they used steadicam a lot (hand held camera).
Hollywood film’s can afford well known, famous actors and actresses however as
we’ve seen in Fish Tank they’re all unknown people.
13. The Fish Tank Trailer is one of the reasons I was looking forward to
watching it, the producers used lots of short shots and when it came to the
violent parts they made them seem really dramatic using special effects. Also, they
use sound really effectively throughout the trailer they use calm innocent music
then when it comes to the violent and the doors slamming they over exaggerate
the slam.
Then you have all the words “All around her”, “Life came rushing in” all this
makes the audience feel sorry for her and want to find out exactly what happens
14. The trailer Balances the plot and spectacle
because the way it’s filmed and the sound all is really fast, it happens so
fast. The violent parts is over exaggerated which is shown in the film when she
kidnaps the girl and throws her in the water, it’s over exaggerated. The sound also, sounds innocent then goes loud and fast which
shows her life. You feel sorry for her but then you kind of dislike her when
she pushes the people that care away and she’s being rude without any reason.
15. 15
classification mean no one under 15 is
allowed to watch the film in cinema and 15 and under aren’t allowed to rent or
buy the film. 15 classification has a outline of what’s allowed such as Language
words like “Fuck” and “Cunt” are allowed and violence is allowed but not too
serious that it leads to pain or injury. Also, Drugs are allowed to be shown
however the film must not show drug misuse. Now, 18 is more lenient the nudity and
language is more explicit.
